Concussion or fine?

On Friday I walked through a patio door (or tried to). Lots of pain at the time and very shocked/shaky but ok. Saturday very sleepy and bad headache. Today still have headache but not as bad. Still feel very fuzzy. Sensitive to noise and one bout of strange noise distortion but I’m generally ok. I’m not sure about work tomorrow or if I need to see a doctor. It’s definitely getting better not worse. And advice please?

I would call the GP in the morning, sounds as if you have a mild concussion

Munchyseeds2 · 05/02/2023 15:26

The advice will probably be to rest for a few days

Thank you. I have a pretty busy day tomorrow and a pretty serious job so I’m not really sure what’s best to do.

Ring 111. Honestly, no one here can tell if you're concussed or need a medical assessment.

SweetyGreen · 05/02/2023 15:30

I’m not in a country that has 111.

Even if you get medical assistance and they diagnose a mild concussion, they'll tell you to rest for a few days and give you a head injury leaflet.

You can do that anyway

SweetyGreen · 05/02/2023 15:50

That’s what I thought. But I can’t rest at home without seeing the doctor (rules here) so I’m weighing that up. I guess I’ll see in the morning how I feel.
