I guess it's a long shot. I have to have one tomorrow and and am doing the hideous Picolax preparations this afternoon.

I had an abdominal CT scan a week or so ago and it showed some kind of a 'mass' in my small intestine so I've been rushed through for this test which is tomorrow. I've never had anything like it before.

sorry no - but I have met some nurses who work on Endoscopy units - they are wonderful and will take great care of you. Why not write down any questions you have and make sure they answer them before they start the procedure? Good luck with the prep.

It is a camera in a pill and you swallow it and it takes pictures all the way through the digestive system. It normally takes 2 pictures per second for about 8 hours and the patient wears a recorder about the size of a walkman around the waist.

Sorry - just re-read your post - you were asking if anyone had experience of this. I haven't but DH knows alot about endoscopys, colonoscopys and the like. Not sure he has had this one done though.

Thanks. I'm guessing this picolax-taking part will be the worst part to be honest. It's dire.
