I’ve started today — and only managed one out of the three breakfast muffins (ate two but one came straight back up!) Anyone else fallen at the first hurdle??

I am really surprised to have really enjoyed a very Zoe style sandwich of scandalous seeds bread, humous and sliced avocado.

Playfulpups · 24/04/2023 22:27

Also fried eggs, home made baked beans, spinach/asparagus/brocolli and half a sliced avocado for breakfast

For anyone who gets their blood fat result estimated and goes for another go (muffin day), I got my results today that I posted on 21 April and my blood fat went from poor 24 estimated to good 61, I'm really pleased and it was worth it. Also if you have the new style profile page my diet assessment now has a green number, before it was grey.

LarkRize · 12/05/2023 20:53

I did my tests on the first bank hol but haven’t got an estimated date for the results - can someone share where I find this? Also I don’t seem to have a profile on the Zoe app - does anyone have any info on this? Thanks!

redrobin75 · 12/05/2023 21:02

@LarkRize , the result for blood fat I got today was my 3rd attempt! I posted it on 21st April and last week the box hadn't been register at the lab but I got the result today so once they register it's quick. There is more than 1 lab that they use so if you follow the Facebook page - Zoe chat (unofficial) - then you will see some people get them back quickly. The profile page shows your results.

LarkRize · 13/05/2023 09:23

Thanks @redrobin75 - I just can’t find the profile page, but perhaps I am being stupid… there doesn’t seem to be anything on the app as far as I can see…

redrobin75 · 13/05/2023 09:42

It's a tab on the bottom of the app but it won't appear for a few weeks for you. This is mine but until I got my blood fat result yesterday the diet assessment was grey.

I don't think low carb is better per se, complex carbs are better than simple carbs. And both soluble and insoluble fibre are definitely your friend!😁

Testing day for me and I feel terrible after all those muffins. 🤢

I took all precautions not to f-up the blood test (hot shower, arm windmills, soaking hands) as I’m not sure I can face eating them again. First finger let out hardly anything and all I could think about was the godawful taste of them!

I panicked and quickly cleansed and pricked the middle finger and it dribbled out but wouldn’t free fall - I had to carefully touch the edge of the drop on to the tester without my finger touching it.

Do you think this will be okay? (Please sweet baby Jesus 🙏 say yes!).

The square is nice and full within 5 minutes and it has seeped past the recommended line.

GenerationGame · 17/05/2023 09:45

Another question- There doesn’t seem to be a way of adding a drink like water or tea without adding it to a “meal” or “snack”. How is everyone logging drinks?

I’m supposed to be eating normally these three days of logging to show my normal diet but I’ve been so put off cake/sweet stuff by the muffins that my diary is going to look positively angelic!

redrobin75 · 17/05/2023 10:02

@GenerationGame , I don't log drinks apart from coffee but once you get the results and points for what you eat/drink if you add a glass of water or wine it can help your points.

Yes I agree the 2 weeks of recording is a good driver to change your habits as I was too embarrassed to put down/eat chocolate in case it caused a spike.

The hardest time is the wait for results as you haven't got points and no one is looking at what log, it's just for you.

HEALTHYHORMONES · 05/06/2023 13:07

Did you Try the zoe test?
I started mine today?

Framc · 04/08/2023 20:01

Hi, I've been looking at the comments on about Zoe Muffins. I'm starting my tests tomorrow and can't find any details on which day you eat them. All of them??? Looking ahead it says to eat day 4's muffins etc. Where fo I find these, only have 2 packs.
I'm so confused 😕

tennissquare · 05/08/2023 08:15

Did you find the answer? You eat 3 breakfast muffins, wait 4 hours and then 2 lunch muffins and then the blood test and then eat as normal. Any mention of muffins after the first day refer to a challenge which starts on day 4. The challenges are optional and I didn't do them, they don't influence your Zoe results.
The Facebook group mentioned below will answer any other queries.

tennissquare · 05/08/2023 08:16

Sorry Facebook group is UK Zoe nutrition chat (unofficial). It's very active.

Jb8 · 19/08/2023 16:54

I started Zoe muffin eating today . Felt nauseous after the breakfast ones. Then after eating the lunch ones I’m feeling really sick so laying down with a bucket😞

tennissquare · 19/08/2023 17:01

@Jb8 , sorry to hear. Keep drinking water to help with the blood test.

Jello87 · 20/08/2023 09:42

I saw a previous message that said it was like chewing memory foam and I’d say that was a fair description.

Jb8 · 20/08/2023 13:01

Thank you! 😊

LilyRoop · 25/11/2023 10:05

I followed the instructions for the finger prick test carefully and still had to use a second finger to get enough blood. I later had to re-do the test (as hadn’t done at precisely the right hour!) and the one finger I did use was, er, providing plenty. It was right after a warm shower, which was more effective for me than soaking my hand. I hadn’t even hydrated particularly.

Can you Join a Zoe Facebook group on a laptop ? Try U.K. Zoe nutrition chat unofficial (uk) - everyone is really helpful.

You will need a new phone / iPad for the app.

tennissquare · 30/06/2024 14:54

@clarkey12 , do you have any instructions to carry out the blood test or is it all on the app. Previously they sent paper instructions but I think that has stopped.
