Red swollen toe

I’ve had it since before Christmas. It’s not getting any worse. Not getting any better either. What could it be?

Yes it’s slightly tender when pressed. It’s the head of my second toe (next to the big one). It only looks slightly inflamed and swollen but just isn’t improving
