Hives on breast appearing and disappearing suddenly -itchy

Hello

just as my username is .

two Fridays ago I was sitting down and felt itching in my left breast . When I scratched it a bit I saw hives appear on the left side. Poured some cold water and took antihistamine and it went for that night. A week later same itchy sensation . I took the antihistamine and it subsided.

it started again yesterday and when I get the itchy feeling, I look there and the hives suddenly appear without scratching it and then disappears again sometimes less than 12hrs later

i went to the gp yesterday and she prescribed daktacort that it may be anti fungal

i have used it and seen no difference. I’m having slight shooting pains in the breast but maybe overthinking as I’m mid cycle

I’m deathly worried as may be IBc . No redness or swelling , just itchy sensation then hives start appearing and disappearing

anyone experienced this kind of hives and itchy breast?

ps I haven’t changed anything at all -soaps, detergent all the same

I had this and honestly think was allergic to something. Was just about to book dr appointment and went away. Lasted maybe three weeks. Might have been some soap. I think book another appointment if still happening once the cream's had a few days to work. Looked awful then okay then really bad then ok on and off like you said.

I had this after a scan where I was injected with iodine. I had on my face too- looked like I'd been fighting! Have you had anything similar? Doctor gave me some anti histamine-Fenexodine. You can buy them over the counter different name but same product. Took a couple of weeks to disappear.

Thank you so much

it’s just so scary as the welts just begin to appear once the sensations starts and I don’t even touch it

i have had itching on there before several times from ezcema/fungus but never had random welts or hives appear and disappear

these things are just too scary

Not been injected at all

ita just a bit worrying because it’s only on one breast 😞

wouldn’t have been as worried if it’s on both

Go to the doctor. Always better to check if you are worried.

Hi there @Justworriedx

I’ve been researching IBC this evening and what you originally described sounds similar to what my wife has experienced the last couple of days.

If you don’t mind sharing, I wondered if you had an update on what happened next?

Many thanks
