Please post messages of hope and encouragement for my poor Mum (68).
She has just been diagnosed and is really quite miserable about the fact that it may take as long as 2 years to get better, she's in a lot of pain.

Poor mum. I had this once.

Iirc, I was prescribed anti-inflammatories, painkillers and had to rest my arm in a sling for a few days, plus do a few gently excercises. It did get better but I have to say it has remained my weak spot (it can ache a bit from time to time in certain circumstances)

I'd heard of it, of course, but never appreciated how painful it is and the fact that there doesn't appear to be much you can do about it.
