Haemorrhoid banding

After years of literally sitting on the problem (pun intended) I saw a private consultant about my terrible piles.

She suggested banding, and a colonoscopy as I'm constantly constipated and bloated. Anyone who has had banding, how did you find it? Was it painful? Was it worth it?

Mine bleed a lot. Just debating if I should go ahead or continue putting up with the pain, bleeding and itching.

i had the Rafaelo procedure July 2022 it is sold as pain free and quick recovery. The actual procedure was relatively pain free but I started with burning after a BM very soon after. Now 18 months on I have suffered daily excruciating pain after a BM spent thousands on Consultants remedies nerve blocks and still in pain. My mental health is terrible and the effect on day to day living debilitating. I would literally pay anyone a thousand pounds if they could stop the pain and give me my life back.
I bitterly regret the procedure the surgeon who did it is not interested in helping he just says the operation went well. Think very hard before you have anything done and get a recommendation of a good surgeon. Good luck!

My partner had hers banded a few years ago, she was in agony afterwards. She currently is having a horrible episode of piles, wether these are new ones or the same I don't know. She feels it was pointless

I had it done, and it didn't work. The first two came off within a couple of hours, and the other two came off the next day. It wasn't painful, but very uncomfortable feeling, and my body expelled the bands, I couldn't help it.
