Spoke to my gp on phone and described how I feel unmotivated, no energy, waking multiple times in the night, aches and pains. I asked if I could be prescribed testosterone in the hope it might give me some drive. I'm 50 and been on HRT for a couple of years (novofem tablets). Gp said can't prescribe testosterone but would check my oestrogen to see if it's low.
I have underactive thyroid and take 100microgram thyroxine daily which hasn't changed in years so had that tested too.
I didn't hear back from gp for two months so requested my blood results to check myself. Had a note from GP that my oestrogen is high but that's due to HRT and my own oestrogen (still have light periods) so not a problem. No comment on my thyroid levels. But I'm not really reassured that my hormones and thyroid levels are ok so I wonder if anyone knowledgeable could give me their opinion? Thanks
