Red, itchy palms?

Think ds has got some red patches on his palms this morning. He's been rubbing his hands together so that could have caused redness but just a quick question,

is this one of those obvious illnesses like hand, foot and mouth disease or summink?

Any offers?

hand foot and mouth doesn't usually cause itching on the hands.

ok cheers not that then, allergic reaction? Atopic eczema? Looks like little patches, nothing anywhere else.

mmm can't think of anything new in the house... suppose it could have been from outside house, went to library yesterday.

He's very chipper, not even itching much just occasionally rubbing hands together.

hold I've just got to read book for them.. I'll be back

Cheers folks. Phone surgery gp said "oooh that's weird isn't it?"

Then, "mm could it be an allergic reaction? perhaps he touched something?..."

So nothing obvious that I missed then.

Thanks all.

I get excema on the palms of my hands, and the soles of my feet. Lots of moisturiser helps, same drill as normal excema.

Soaking in water with baking soda (bicarb?) can help, too.
