HELP -Quickest time for something to go from mouth to nappy (9mo)

Ds has a chest infection and is a bit under the weather. He has had diohrea (sp) today, so 3 dirty nappies already. Just changed his nappy again and its sort of burgendy in colour - the only thing that I can think of that he has eaten that would be this colour would be jelly at lunch time - is it possible for something to pass through this quick or should I be worried that it might be something more sinister?

I don't know about the jelly - I know things like beetroot and blueberries can have a startling effect! Did you keep the nappy by any chance? If not and it happens again in the next one, keep it and take it to the GP tomorrow. It's possible it could be blood in which case you DS will need to see a Dr sooner rather than later. You could phone NHS direct....
