Only been running for a couple of months, but have put myself up for 3 miles for Sport Relief, so working my way up to it! Though i programmed my pedometer correctly, but after jogging for 30 mins this morn (with a couple of short walking stops), it seemed i'd only covered 1.3 miles!! Surely i could walk a mile quicker than that?? Random question i know, but anyone have an idea how far you should cover in 1/2 hour? Am not super speedy, but i think i keep a good average speed!! If anyone has any ideas, i'd be grateful, ta xx

Your stride length is probably wrong.

As a beginner in half an hour you would cover between 2 and 3 miles depending on your speed.

There's a site where you can measure your run. Hold on.

Runfinder - you have to register but it's free.
