I’ve been struggling with pain on and off in my teeth for a while now. It’s not concentrated to any one tooth in particular, although there are some teeth that are worse than others (generally the 2 upper filled teeth that I have, on opposite sides of my mouth and 2 lower teeth that are next to extraction sites). My dentist informed me earlier in the year that he thinks I’ve been grinding, so fitted me with a hard night guard, which I wear religiously every night. Recently, my left front tooth and the teeth next to it have felt odd, like there is pressure there and in my gum. My bite has also felt off and like that front tooth has been hitting the bottom tooth sometimes when eating and talking. Could this be down to the grinding, even with wearing the night guard and consciously keeping my teeth apart during the day? I do have some tooth sensitivity (especially to cold), which I am guessing has been from the grinding, so I do use a sensitive toothpaste, as per advice from my dentist but in all honesty I can’t say I’ve noticed an improvement from using it, which has been nearly a year now. Every time I visit my dentist, he isn’t very helpful as he just brushes my issues off so I have made an appointment to see a new one but can’t get in until next month unfortunately. I had my lower impacted wisdom teeth removed under GA 2 weeks ago and whilst I’ve had no pain in the sockets/gums, the teeth all along the bottom on one side have been quite painful and tonight (after eating solid food for the first time) I have intermittent shooting pain in them! I’m fed up with having these issues and getting no answers as to what it may be 😩
