Hey everyone,

Some advice please. I had a period just before xmas. It was late but normal once it turned up. Usually I get sore boobs before my period but not this time, instead I have sore boobs AFTER my period. Started off in one breast and into my armpit and I have been panicking about something sinister, then the other started to hurt, so now both hurt but the initial boob hurts more than the other. My boobs are also swollen. I do have pcos so wondered if it may be that? I was worried about pregnancy but I had a period and my husband has had a vasectomy that was deemed successful in summer last year. I guess xmas stressed me out and I do suffer from anxiety so was wondering if it was stress? I guess I'm just worried and also just fed up of the pain, I've been in pain for about a week now almost and not due until end of month. Any ideas or suggestions? How long would you give it until you saw gp?

It's not uncommon for period symptoms to change. I used to never have sore boobs, then that was the main symptom of my period coming for about a year and now I never get sore boobs anymore again.

I see why you'd be worried as pain into your armpits can cause concern but if it's not lasted more than a week and you have no lumps id say it's just period related.

If you do still feel anxious and (we all know our own bodies the best) then I would see a GP. They would rather check than not and have you leave it. It only takes a couple of mins and that's what they're there for.

It's come on after my period though not before.

Yes but my point is that period symptoms change all the time and that is normal. Before, after, pain, no pain. Cramps, no cramps. Just go to the gp if you're that worried.

If your want some helpful advice, perhaps you should try being less confrontational and rude

My tone? I left you a long message with advice as you asked and you took one thing from it and left an arsey comment back. You could have replied in a much nicer way considering I was trying to help you. Clearly just wanted someone to reply telling you to be worried or something.
