I’ve just had another puking episode because I feel so full and starting to freak myself out.

Always suffered with IBS and food adversions but recently I’ve been getting horrible acid reflux pretty much daily, the feeling good is getting stuck sometimes when eating, burping loads and feeling nauseous.

Been referred to have a camera down and waiting on appointment but just woke up in discomfort and puked after feeling so full. I’ve felt full after lunch today and it wasn’t a large meal. Started PPI recently so hoping it’s due to the reduced stomach acid. Just freaking myself out and I’m getting more scared there’s something wrong.

I’ve had several episodes of this over the years. Googled it to hell and gastroparesis came up so off I went to my doctors after several unsuccessful trips to hospital for pain, sickness etc. I explained my symptoms and was sent for an ultrasound and other tests (including the camera down the throat and biopsies) turns out my stomach was full of fluid when I’d not eaten or drank (as per request before the ultrasound). It turns out I actually had gastritis, which was caused by chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic cysts that was only discovered after further CT & MRI scans. I had acute pancreatitis when I was 18 (due to gallstones which they didn’t discover). When I have “attacks” I can’t keep anything down whatsoever so have been prescribed anti sickness tablets, maybe worth an ask for some of those. Whatever it is that’s causing these issues there’s generally a cure, hopefully you won’t be suffering for too long and they can get to the bottom of it all quickly for you. 💐

@crankypanky thank you so much for responding and it’s nice to know I’m not alone! I will chase the app team tomorrow for a date. And try to stay away from google till then. Xx

your symptoms sound pretty similar to me - in December I had camera down throat and was told I have a hiatial hernia. It can cause burping, feeling full/sick and acid reflux. Main treatment is ppis and diet changes.

That does fit all my symptoms, the regurgitation is also an issue. Started on a PPI so if that is the issue hopefully it helps. I might start trying to eat little often as quite frankly I can’t cope with large meals at the moment anyway.

yeah I had the regurgitation too. It was really bad at first I lost 2 stone in a month I was living on soup and smoothies as the physical symptoms combined with my anxiety that something serious was wrong meant I could hardly eat. Been on ppis and small portions plus low acid foods for over a month now and it's much better xx
