Acid reflux?!

I had a cough/ cold virus thing before Christmas. Had days of coughing alot. One day I started getting a pain in my chest, that went after a few days.
A few days after I started getting acid reflux which has carried on still.
It's starting to worry me. I found some omeprazole 10mg in the cupboard from when DH had them for other meds he was on. Taking 2 of those. Should I ride it out?! Can coughing cause these sort of issues?!

Did you take any ibuprofen as that can cause reflux then sometimes reflux can cause irritation and it’s hard to heal. Taking a PPI and gaviscon can help to allow time for things to heal. I would try these for 2 weeks and see if there is any improvement. If not then pop to the GP.
