Thymoma

Hi, has anyone had a thymoma or know much about it? It’s a tumour growing from where your thymus used to be. Has anyone any experience of having it removed and if it was malignant or benign? Thank you

My mum had a thymoma removed by keyhole surgery several years ago. They weren't sure when they went in if it would be keyhole or if they were going to have to open her up. I think they said it depended on how close it was to her aortic arch. Thankfully, it was very straightforward, including recovery and was benign. Good luck to you!

Thank you for your message. Delighted to hear your mum recovered so well. I am relieved to hear she had keyhole surgery. I am so nervous but I will read your message over and over to reassure myself! Thanks
