Anyone been on longish term steroids (7 weeks)

....and found that your breathlessness went and didn't return.

I've had ongoing uncontrolled asthma since May. Not sure if it's covid related or as a result of radiotherapy treatment. CT scan says 'changes to my lung as a result of recent infection or treatment'. It also appears I've had a healed rib fracture on my other side. This is probably from the continuous coughing.

I had this longish course, on a tapered dose and a week after they've finished I feel really well and me peak flow has remained stable.

I'm hoping the steroids have allowed my lung to heal and just wondered if anyone else has found they helped long term.
