Lower left abdominal pain

Any suggestions?! Ive had intermittent pain in my lower left abdomen for about four months. Never bad enough to make me panic or limit activity, but enough to make me go to GP. No obvious pattern with food but worse after exercise. I’ve had multiple abdominal surgeries for various things, the last was a colon resection many years ago for a malignant polyp. I have had a few clear colonoscopies since then, the last was three years ago. No history of ovarian cysts. Often have constipation as a result of colon resection but doesn’t seem to be related. GP has asked for a FIT test and a pelvic ultrasound but said it was localised under an old laparoscopic scar in her notes? Any thoughts on what this might mean? I do have some health anxiety following the bowel scare so trying to keep in perspective while I wait for the NHS wheels to grind!

Hi! I am suffering with something similar. I’ve had lower left abdominal pain and lower left back pain for a few months.
I went to my GP last week who said she thinks it’s scar tissue that is causing the pain as I had a c-section last year but has taken blood and referred me for a scan to make sure. She said scar tissue can cling to organs etc which can cause the uncomfortable feeling.
Like you, I also suffer from health anxiety so I’m desperate to get to the bottom of it.
