If anyone has had one of these treated, any info would be gratefully reviewed eg pain after repair, recovery time etc.

I had an umbilical hernia fixed early 2020. It took about 3 weeks until I could sit fairly comfortably and felt that I could work (working from home as just about to go into lockdown). I had a mesh repair. To be honest, I still get pain in that area, pretty much the same pain as I had before the operation. I could have had it fixed without mesh but I was told the muscle was very thin and the fix wouldn't last very long.
