Bad thigh and lower back pain

A few days ago I got sick with one of the many respiratory, viral things. Headache, temperature, cough etc. started on Tuesday. I tested for covid but it was negative so something else.
Am feeling a lot better but since it started i have had a terrible discomfort right at the base of my spine and a lot of pain running down my legs, particularly the thighs. It hurts to sit and walk. It's really horrible, but this symptom is not improving at all. Does it sound like it could be related? Can this kind of thing happen with a virus? I've never had anything like it

Sounds exactly like the type of pain I get when my sciatica flares up. Could it be this?

I did reach the sciatica conclusion from dr google but I understood it's usually the result of a slipped disc or something. Maybe it's from temporary viral inflammation. How long do you get it for??

Im sure mine got worse after covid which was over a year ago. I still have it mildly especially if I’ve been sitting down for longer than a few minutes- when I stand up I get a pain down one leg. Also now have a frozen shoulder.
Anyway yes I think it can get worse due to a virus and also sitting for long periods when ill.

I had covid and had horrible lower back and thigh pain and still get it now if I overdo things. I’m sure it will eventually disappear and it sounds like it’s still early days for you and probably a touch of virus induced myositis.
