Copper IUD From HELL!!

Hi Ladies.

I had an appointment on the 11th of October to get my Implant removed and Copper Coil put in, I was beginning my period at this point as I had spotting. I had cramping and between light and moderate bleeding. I then stopped and had spotting now and again.
I was about 2 weeks late for my next period but I eventually came on, since my period began I have only stopped bleeding for a couple of hours and that is it but this bleeding is moderate to heavy, with blood clots. soaking sanitary pads within hours. I have bled for weeks and weeks and I'm so exhausted. I checked on Monday that my IUD strings were still in place and found I could feel the very end of my IUD. Due to Christmas, I've been unable to get a GP appointment and so my partner helped to remove my coil on Wednesday. It is now Saturday, the bleeding is still the same as I still have the coil in - Moderate to heavy. Getting cramps now and again but these are dealable. It just feels like the bleeding isn't easing at all even though the coil has been removed. I'm so tired 😫 I was prescribed Tranexamic Acid about a week or two ago and it said to take 2 up to 3 times a day when bleeding, it would slow down with these but as soon as I stopped them it would return to how it was originally. I have also chosen not to carry on taking them due to DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) and PE (Polumenry Embolism) Deaths in my family.
I was getting horrid side effects from the Copper Coil and think I may have had Copper Toxicity from the Coil.

Have you had an ultrasound scan? I'd be concerned it perforated something when it was dislodged and then you've removed it yourself. Have you seen a GP?

My copper iud is currently in the wrong place so I totally appreciate how crap it is. I have also considered removing my own!!!

No, I haven't, I contacted 111 on the 26th as I had a racing and irregular heart rate and also had a fever while bleeding moderate to heavy and being able to feel the end of my IUD, after waiting 13 hours for a GP call back they said there is nothing they can do, said it wasn't a big enough emergency and said I could go to A&E but they wouldn't remove it if I went. I'm now having to wait until is can contact my GP to see what they can do.
