Pleural effusion, do I need to worry.?

Last week I went to A&E on the advice of 111 as I was unwell. I had bloods and a chest X-ray done.

the doctor told me my chest X-ray was fine, no further advice given.. however I have now read the discharge notes, and it says under the chest X-ray:
PTX Pleural effusion.

my understanding is that pleural effusion is fluid around lungs, and PTX may be medical terminology for Pneumothorax.

I am now concerned, I had noticed a slight cough before the X-ray, that feels slightly different to my asthma cough but didn’t really think to much of it.

I don’t have any chest pain or breathing difficulties and the chest X-ray was to check for something else related to why I was unwell, this was just an unexpected finding. However I’m now worried, and wondering why no further action is being taken or if it even needs further action or investigation.

Anyone had similar?

PTX could also mean ‘Performed To eXclude’. Depends entirely on the context/rest of the notes.
