Fitbit and 02 Sats at night

I normally average about 94-95% at night with a range of between 91-96%. However for the last 3 weeks I’ve been averaging 91 or 92 every night with the range between 88 or 89 and 95%. Should I be worried? My snore chart sometimes shows spikes but last night I didn’t have any and my 02 range was still 88-95% with an average of 91. Resting heart rate was 60 ( normal for me) and sleep score 84 ( I usually get 80-89). Should I be worried? I know 02 saturation dips at night but I don’t think it should go below 90?

Tbh I don't think it is that accurate. Mine regularly shows 94 or less overnight.

LaBelleSauvage123 · 29/12/2022 10:45

Does it ever dip below 90?

Mine claimed I hit 78 the other night, I think it just slips on my wrist a bit overnight. It sometimes struggles to take a reading when I'm awake and following the instructions so can't imagine it's that accurate all night...

Had one or two in high 80s. If I put it on a bit looser it misses heart rate too!

This is reassuring thank you, although I wear mine quite tight and it’s been quite consistent now for 3 weeks.

If you are worried get an oximeter although I find that variable too!

I have a dit it and a Samsung watch. Fitbit only gives you an overall score which is not that helpful. The watch shows a graph over the whole night.

Fitbit shows I'm at 94-95% every night. The watch shows regular drops under 90%, some times for a total of 5mns. I've been experiencing symptoms of sleep apnea and currently under the care of the NHS, awaiting for outcome of home sleep study, so will see.

Do you have any daytime sleepiness despite a seemingly good sleep? Do you snore? Do you ever wake up suddenly needing to gasp for air?

LaBelleSauvage123 · 29/12/2022 22:22

I’m often tired when I wake up. I never wake up gasping for air but I do snore sometimes.

My fitbit underestimates my O2 sats all the time. I wouldn’t pay it any attention.
