New - pee urgency

I experienced that could have been potentially embarrassing. I was nearly going to wet the bed. I was nearly going to wet myself in my sleep. Thankfully it was early in the morning when I felt a heavy dribble and I was able to hold it and get up and race to the loo. That never happened to me before. I do drink a lot of fluids/water over the day. About 2 litres of water a day but I do go to the toilet regularly during the day.

Then today I experienced somewhat of an urgency. That never happened to me before. I bent down and I felt a fullness and a need to go to the toilet quickly.

I don't usually experience UTIs.

Any idea what that's all about. I am 40and I expect I am maybe peri at this stage. I would if this is common with peri menopause?

Yes common in peri. It's a sign of atrophy, your estrogen levels are dropping so see a Gp. The earlier you treat the better. I left mine for months before seeking treatment and it got bad. Treatment is ovestin cream or pessary.
