What is this rash?

I’ve just noticed about 4 patches of this rash on my upper body/arm. It’s like little clusters of raised peachy dots/bumps and isn’t itchy. The patches are totally isolated from each other.

What could it be?!

It’s not a very good photo but that’s how my psoriasis started (I don’t find it itchy, just sore when it gets bad). Could you upload a clearer photo?

Here we go!

It does look like the images of early stages of psoriasis on Google actually.

@emotionalmotionsicknesss Yes I think it looks like psoriasis too. I had one small patch like that on my arm appear suddenly and it went from there 😕 I was super stressed at the time it developed and I’ve had it ever since unfortunately. I’d see how it develops over the next few days and if you get more and more patches pop up elsewhere then see your GP. Do you otherwise feel well in yourself?

Oh noooo that’s not great - I mean, it’s not the end of the world. I have been ill for two weeks recently and just generally stressed for a while, I’m not ill anymore and feel fine in myself. It’s weird, they’re just like little clusters of slightly raised bumps!

@emotionalmotionsicknesss No it’s not the end of the world but I do hope it isn’t psoriasis as I wouldn’t wish it on anybody 😕 Perhaps it could be connected to you being ill recently, there is so much weird stuff going round. Yes, psoriasis is raised and you’d be surprised how quickly it worsens once it appears so if it is that it will get worse quickly unfortunately. Keeping everything crossed it isn’t that and it just disappears as quickly as it appeared!

Strep A causes rashes. My DH always gets raised patches on his arms when he has it. Have you had anything viral recently?

Yeah I had a viral infection from around the second week of December until a few days ago, really. I’m a primary school teacher so wouldn’t be unheard of for it to be strep A. I didn’t think what I had was that, though.
