put calamine lotion on baby's face? stupid question i know. was just thinking she will rub it into her eyes or something? help!!

nightowl I did - if you apply it carefully to the spots it dries so quickly anyway - seems pretty hard to rub off/into other places?

I found calamine cream better than lotion - the lotion tends to dry everything out and make it more itchy - the cream is quite moisturising!

My dd has just gotten over chicken pox, I used eurax cream on her spots - face, arms, legs, body, ears etc - its great, stopped the itching and only needs to be applied about every 10 hours! You can buy it at any chemists - no prescription required.

thanks for suggestions..i never knew there was anything other than calamine lotion until i asked a few people about this! have bought her something for the bath too and im hoping today was our worst day..shes been so miserable. (although strangely enough when i brought her downstairs tonight after about the 100th strop she was fine ripping all the paper back off the presents i was carefully wrapping, hmmm....)
