Extremely sore rash on roof of mouth

I have an extremely sore rash type thing all around the roof of my mouth. It's is beyond painful. I thought inhaler a few mouth ulcers until I had an actually look this evening.
I've never seen anything like it.
Can anyone shed any light? It's like the attached picture .

I was very ill at the weekend with a high fever and respiratory infection. So am on steroids and penicillin. It's odd it came qboit when I started to feel better!

Reaction to penicillin?
