Flu..!?

Has anyone else had this hideous flu type virus? I've got body aches, awful headache, shivering, dizziness, nausea and upset stomach.. I feel terrible! What the hell is this 😢

Yep! Me and my little boy are in the middle of it now. It completely floored us and taking so long to shift. Left with nausea (made worse by anxiety about my son being poorly) and a ridiculous cough!!!

Yes - am on week 2. Local doctor says loads of people testing positive for flu.

Yep. Same here. It has spread through my house like wild fire. All 4 of my daughters have been completely floored by it. The older 2 are on day 7 now and only just feeling OK. I've woke up feeling 'fluey' which was on the cards. Covid never hit us like this! And definitely didn't hit us all hard at similar times.

Yes day 14 here. All family had it. Fever, awful cough, aches, nausea/vomiting. So congested and developed sinus infection. Feel terrible. It’s not covid as we tested. It’s not you. It’s a really nasty virus I’ve not had before.

Crikey, me too!! Feel like I've been hit by a bus. Started on antibiotics today after 5 days of raging temperatures. The coughing is horrendous 😱
My DD is a week on and starting to improve but continues with the hacking cough. No one's getting much sleep.
Praying no one else in the family gets it now as I've got no reserve to care for them 😬

day 8 here and keep coming over with dizzy spells and now have a cough. Started with a raging sore throat like tonsillitis and then all the flu symptoms. Tested and negative. Never had such a nasty virus. Anyone feeling emotional with it?

@Holl48 I'm exactly the same! Very dizzy.. I'm day 5. My anxiety has been under control for a good year but it's been through the roof since having this flu!

I have this now, got it from my adult son. I feel dreadful, the body aches, pains in legs, back and the strong tingling like someone grinding my back with something. Sinus awful, no energy or appetite, only positive is will lose a few needed pounds. Thank god a neighbour went to pharmacy and got me ibruprofen to take with paracetamol as my temperature was 39. Was freezing with the chills but temperature so high. Hope it goes soon as sick of it now. Hope you are all feeling better but usually this keeps going around and around the house and takes ages to go and symptoms return.

I had this over Christmas,it got better for a week or so and then I went back downh but not as bad. I've now been better for 10 days.
