eczema and cats - compatible?

we thinking of getting some cats, however ds has mild ezcema.

does anyone have kids who have ezcema and have pets? will it make his ezcema worse and could he even be allergic??

any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Just a suggestion - do you have friends/relations with cats you could spend some time with? Also, my sis is allergic to dogs, but only SOME dogs - maybe it would depend on the cat...
