Oral thrush?

Pelo22 · 17/12/2022 14:13

Recently had a bout of UTIs so I've had about 5 courses of antibiotics in the past couple of months
The past week I've had the most awful taste in my mouth, the only way I can describe it is like I've had a mouthful of cream/milk Confused and everything tastes milky
Done a nasal rinse, flossed, checked for tonsil stones, I brush and scrape my tongue anyway
Any ideas?! It's driving me mad

Coukd be thrush, ask the pharmacist, see if they will give you Fluconazole.

Reflux would be my other guess?

I've actually ordered a tablet and it's on the way
Would I have any other symptoms with reflux?
It's literally just my mouth. Brushed my teeth and flossed this morning, then was doing a spin class and drinking water and it just tastes of milk Confused

Oral thrush always makes my mouth and throat sore. With a very white tongue and usually white patches on my uvula and throat.

My inhalers have some pretty strong steroids in them and no matter how I rinse my mouth out I always get oral thrush.

I use Daktarin oral cream, it tastes like orange and works really well.

I can't find any sore bits, my tongue does look a bit coated though. Gums are fine, regularly go to the dentist and hygienist
It does feel like the taste is coming from my tongue more than anything else
