Does anyone know roughly what the wait times are for a call back?

After waiting 47mins in queuing system, finally spoke to a lovely lady at 05:58 this morning. She said she hoped an urgent care practioner would call me back within 2hrs.

Not going to phone them back, as only going to clog the system further. Anyone else in the queue today?

I went through the online 111 and it told me a nurse would call me within 30 minutes. It was closer to six hours but she was absolutely lovely.

Oh, meant to say this was yesterday.

Thanks for replying. Feeling reassured now that I haven't been forgotten

Unless it is for a child under 5, hang up and use the online service and then at least you don't have to wait on the phone.

50 min wait on the phone 5 times in the last 3 weeks. Sometimes they never rang back therefore we had to ring again, the call back was 8hrs at one instance and 15 hours at another instance. They are being snowed under here. We managed to get given a doc app and some antibiotics prescription which we had to go hunting for.

dinoprincesses · 17/12/2022 14:18

@Nursemumma92 she's 5 so can I still use the online service or does she have to be over 5?

Nursemumma92 · 17/12/2022 14:24

Just had a look on website as I didn't know but says for 5 and over. If you're happy on hold then stick with it but I bet its a pain with a poorly child. Hope she feels better soon x

@Nursemumma92 thank you!

I've done a bit of work for them and I'd say save your time and do the online assessment. It's exactly the same script that they'll read you on the phone and you can book a call back online faster.

Just got a phonecall and then a videocall with a doctor. Now on way to A&E
