Booking a doctors appointment today but looking for some advice.
currently third trimester the past week I caught something viral which caused me to have a sore throat and become quite phelgmy and also lots of congestion built up in nose.
im coughing up quite sticky white/yellow phlegm only in small chunks… but upon deep breath inhalation I’m get a small wheeze when I take in air? I don’t feel short of breath but equally worried that I won’t be getting enough oxygen for baby… I used to have childhood asthma but never have I had a issue in adulthood

I had something similar although I was very wheezy, noticeably loud almost whistling sound inhalation. Doctor said it was an asthmatic reaction to a virus which is common in former asthma sufferers and exacerbated by pregnancy. I was prescribed an inhaler, salbutamol and everything resolved over a few weeks.

Oh wow really?? I was super worried about lack of o2 to placenta as the wheeze on inhalation is quite bad… I myself don’t feel short of breath but on inhaling sound like wheezy from Toy Story 😂 I will go to the doctors today and hopefully get something to resolve it!!!
