I've had this bunion for quite a few years (big toe joint on right foot).
It's never bothered me before, in the sense it has never given me any pain - until now!
It hurts so much I can barely lift my toe joint. Also hurts when I first put my shoes on and put weight on my foot.
I don't know if it's cold weather related (I wear thick tights and flat shoes).
I keep hoping the pain will just go as quickly as it came.
