Twitchy legs

Does anyone at all on here get twitchy legs?
My knees are mildly arthritic , but occasionally I get an electric shock down my leg and knee and it tends to lock up a bit ? It makes my leg actually jump ?
It's so weird and getting worse lately.
I know I can look it up , but wondering if anyone has this or similar experience?
I also suffer with sciatica too sometimes
The anti inflammatory tablets help with the pain . I know it might be a side effect of these meds

My DH had this problem when he was suffering from serious kidney disease. Just how you describe – twitchy with the occasional really jolt, you could see his legs twitching uncontrollably at night.

His consultant prescribed a drug called Pramipexole, it was like a miracle cure. The main restrictions against taking it are if you are suffering from Parkinson's or are on antipsychotics. You also can't take it while breast feeding (not an issue for DH!). Otherwise I would suggest it's worth a try.

Oh thank you!
I've never had any kidney problems, but I'll bear it in mind.
I've googled it and MS comes up. Which concerns me as my mum had Parkinson's, but not until her 80s
I've but been offered any scans or blood tests , the doctor on the phone didn't seem too bothered about my twitchy legs

I get this a lot

It's sometimes how I imagine an electric shock to be.

I’m anaemic and this is one of my symptoms. It can also be caused by low magnesium too.

Forgot to mention, if I’m really tired I get the feeling in my arms too, it’s horrible!
