Should I have another doctors appointment?

I'm really not sure what to do as I know gp appointments are very valuable and I don't want to waste their time but I'm thinking I need to go again. Please bear with me as there's 2 issues and I'm not sure if they're related.
3 weeks ago I had a miscarriage which was very bad, I was loosing a lot of blood and passing out so I needed an ambulance and was taken to A&E. There was a lot of discussion about how much blood I might have lost but as a lot was in the toilet they felt they couldn't accurately judge it. I was in over night and after they stopped the bleeding and gave me fluids I was sent home with some iron tablets.
The next day I came down with a virus my kids have, seems to be going around at the moment, fever and chills, bad cough, congestion etc.
This hit me very hard which isn't surprising. After having it nearly 2 weeks I got a very painful ear for which I was prescribed antibiotics as doctor thought it could be infected.
Anyway now it's a week later and almost 3 weeks since I first felt ill, my ear is still blocked and painful as well as the whole area around it. I also cannot do anything without feeling exhausted, just going to the toilet leaves me breathless and feeling faint. That's not right is it?
I'm so worried the doctor will just say it's the virus and it will take time to recover but I've never felt so bad and surely by now I should be able to walk for 5 minutes without having to sit down?
I used to walk 3-4 miles a couple of times a week so this is quite debilitating for me.
Do I ring the doctors again in the morning or accept that I've just been ill and it will take time to get better?

So sorry you've been so poorly on top
Of your loss. I think you need to speak to the GP again and maybe asked to be seen in person xx

Shortness of breath and exhaustion could be due to blood loss leading to low iron. It can take several weeks for the iron tablets to build your levels back up.
You ear could be wax - I’ve seen people who have suddenly needed their ears syringing after being bad with a cold, they likely had loads of wax before but congestion added to it/coughing shifted it -so at the very least your ears need checking for infection or to see if they are blocked.

Do any nurses do minor illness at your surgery? They could check your ears and, if you tell them how awful you feel, they may do a blood test or suggest you have a blood test?

Sorry for your loss Flowers

I would definitely go back to the GP and maybe push for a ear nose and throat specialist if they end up doing nothing at the doctors. Also if you're still unsure you can always call 111 and describe everything you did on here and see their suggestion. But with nhs, it seems you always have to push for help. So go in and not demand but be adament you need help.

Definitely ask to be seen again, you may need different antibiotics for your ear and also some bloods to check out your iron stores - you have some symptoms of severe deficiency such as exhaustion and breathlessness. They may also be attributed to the virus but I would imagine a Dr would want to rule it out.

Thank you all, I will ring the doctors tomorrow morning for a follow up. I just didn't want to think I was wasting their time when it is so in demand atm.

Poor you, you are really going through it. I would definitely try and get another appointment if I were you, you are not wasting their time Flowers

Definitely go back. Could be as simple as giving you another course of antibiotics

@Daisypod are you OK?
