Amitriptyline dose & withdrawal

Really hoping for some insight. I take 100mg nightly for 6+ years. I am extremely sensitive to this drug & get severe withdrawal if I reduce dose. Even changing brand can cause severe withdrawal for me

10 days ago I accidentally took 200mg as I had switched from 25mg to 50mg pills. A couple of days later had headache (typical for withdrawal for me) & then one week later started severe abdominal nerve pain.. which previously has been caused by withdrawal. Will not go away

Is it actually possible this could be withdrawal from just one day of double dose ? At a total loss thank

Amitryptline is a very dangerous drug as it's super strong. I've been on this before but it just wasn't suited to me. Before taking this I was under strict instructions on when to take and how much to take, dose and don'ts.
You need to be so careful re doses and taking the correct dose. I know you say the symptoms you're experiencing you have experienced before with withdrawal but I'm wondering if it's actually caused by the double dose maybe? Given it's not stopping. I'd advise you seek medical advice as a precaution either way x
