FLU .. with sickness?!

Ok .. this flu bug that’s going around has floored me. Started off with the shivers/ boiling hot, sore throat, so congested and can’t move for aches and extreme tiredness. But i’m also super nauseous, no appetite and if i move too much i’m sick. Anyone else? sickness / upset stomach with flu?! Any remedies for a desperate woman ?! I’m so over this now
(Not covid had that this autumn already) AARRGGH I WANT TO BE WELL ALREADY

Sadly, I wouldn’t write off covid. I have a friend who caught it twice within 6 weeks! Do you have any tests? Xx

As for relief, could you manage soup? Chicken noodle is an oldie but a golden one for me when I’m sick! Xx

DS was sick when he had flu recently (definitely flu he was swabbed on the childrens ward as he had appendicitis symptoms as well)

thank you @Ilovepotato my test was negative. i feel more poorly than when i had covid!
ive been eating little bits so managed some soup. but when i nice i start to gag and am sick. (sorry that’s grim) I didn’t realise you could be sick with flu. i’m so dizzy too? Eugh. wondered if it’s worth taking anything, gaviscon, imodium, pepto bismol .. i don’t know, i’m desperate, it’s like the torture of pregnancy sickness !

I’ve chucked up Pepto bismol. 0/10 -do not recommend!! Ugh I feel for you. Hope someone arrives with a super remedy! ❤️

oh bless you @Ilovepotato maybe not then. Clutching at straws as Im supposed to be the kids out to a show saturday 😷 nausea is bloomin torturous .

@FiveGoMadInDorset did it just resolve with rest? i’m pretty fed up now, been on the sofa for 5 days. Hope your OH is much better now

This week, we've had a bug in our house that saw all 3 of us (in succession) getting diarrhoea, shuddering with cold, and then losing the entire contents of stomach at once (and just one). Another day of having a fair amount of feeling very cold, and very sore achy bones, but much more human again on day 3. No sore throats, no covid. 1 has a nasty cough but I think that's coincidental.

@pasinphoebe it did, took a good week for him to feel better but he was still being randomly sick the second week so missed school
