Following a stressful few days/weekend, I've come up in two huge cold sores on my chin area. Each one roughly the size of a 1p coin, blistering, red, itchy, painful and very ugly! I also always feel a bit generally 'bleurgh' when I have an outbreak.
I work part time Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. I work half the time from home and half from office. I'm due in the office tomorrow and Thursday. Whilst the 'bleurgh' feeling on it's own wouldn't be bad enough to stop me from going in, in all honesty the main issue is that I feel pretty embarrassed about the way my face looks right now!
I'm on prescribed anti-viral tablets, am topping up with Zovirax regularly, and even have a light device thing I'm using (although not sure how effective that is!), but they really are huge beasts this time!
I rarely get two, usually it's just one, and I've been 'lucky' that up until now they haven't been at their worst when I've been due in the office, so I've been able to conceal with make up for example.
Trying to decide if it is reasonable to ask to work from home this week for this reason?
