Laryngitis pain

I had laryngitis 3 weeks ago. It's all cleared up now, voice is back, no coughing etc but I've still got the painful throat. It's not sore but feels bruised in a way. Has anyone else had this lingering after all other symptoms have gone?

Yep and I ended up on antibiotics for tonsillitis as had infection behind the tonsils. First got virus on 12 November then had sinus problems and low hum discomfort at throat with white patches.

Yeah @sarahh96 just watch yourself to make sure there's not a bacterial infection. You could always ask a Phari for advice or your gp

Thanks by the way. Fingers crossed I'm on the mend and hope you are feeling better soon. Ds and DH have been ill but not as bad as me.

Yes. Finally got rid of the last symptoms last week. Sorry to tell you mine hung around for 5 weeks. Worst of it was the first week with nagging throat for the rest of the time. Sorry you're suffering too. The only thing that (sort of) helped me was ibuprofen and warm drinks. Hope you get over it soon.
