Pain when lying on stomach

I'm 24 weeks pregnant, though not sure this is pregnancy related.
For the last couple of days when I sleep on my stomach I get a really sharp pain on the lower/middle right of my stomach (possibly in line with belly button). The pain is so bad I immediately I have to turn over and as soon as I do it goes. It's only present when lying on stomach but is so sharp. Anyone experienced anything similar

sleeping on my stomach at 24 weeks…. Not something I did or felt like I wanted to do.

why not just stop sleeping on your stomach? Pretty sure that soon enough… you physically won’t be able to!

Justwingingitox · 05/12/2022 10:24

Just don't sleep on your stomach.
You're growing a baby, organs and everything else are naturally pushed and squeezed to make room.for baby? Lying on your stomach isn't going to help the situation lol.
If it was anything more sinister it would be more often than just when you're lying in your tummy, and it wouldn't go so quickly after turning back over.

I've been laying on my left and do most of the night as I know that's the safest position it's just after a while that hurts so I turn to .y stomach. Was literally about to update thread when saw I had replied that I'm currently sitting up and it feels like a tugging pain on right hip? Currently trying to stalk other MN threads for similar?

If you're concerned then give your midwife a ring for peace of mind.
I think it all just sounds like common pregnancy related things.

Autumnlily14 · 05/12/2022 11:05

@Justwingingitox yeah that's what I was thinking/hoping too. Trying not to bother them as also feel may have BP problem.

What makes you think that?

Autumnlily14 · 05/12/2022 12:25

@Justwingingitox because my blood pressure was high towards end with son but I was also on blood thinners and aspirin which I know can obviously keep BP lower. I've had headache s, dizziness and spots in my vision since about 18 weeks. I've been up to maternity daycare with high blood pressure but luckily came back down. Has gone from 110/64 at booking to 149/69 two days ago and now 155/77 today.

Get off mumsnet OP

and contact your midwife

Simple as that really

Autumnlily14 · 05/12/2022 13:28

@Proneu82 no that pain is/was just when lying on stomach the other pain is simply from laying on one side too long. I'm asking for advice on mumsnet because I know 9/10 these are normal pregnancy things and I don't want to waste anyone's time. A little sympathy never went amiss. I haven't contacted my midwife about the BP because the daycare unit said to only contact them if it goes 140/90 and I wasn't sure if that counts both numbers.

Ok don’t!.

You baby, your body, your decision.

You asked. I responded contact your midwife. What I would have done but not you. Fair enough. Each to their own 🤷‍♀️
