Stomach cramps and bloody diarrhoea

Apologies in advance for TMI.

This afternoon I felt nauseous. Then I had a bout of diarrhoea. An hour later I then had another bout of diarrhoea with intense stomach cramps across my lower stomach, sweating and feeling like I was going to pass out. There was bright red blood 'at the top' of the diarrhoea too, and when I wiped it was pink. I had this same thing happen before, around 6 months ago (the diarrhoea, the feeling like I was going to pass out and then the bright red blood with pink when I wiped). I went to the GP and they said it sounded like a stomach bug or food poisoning, and I was fine from then onwards.

It's now happened today. I'm worried about it, but thinking maybe it's food poisoning or a bug again and the diarrhoea has triggered bleeding from an internal pile or something? I'm not sure.

I'm really worried about it. The only thing calming me down is knowing I have had stomach cramps so I feel like that's linked with the bleeding? I feel like if I was bleeding with no other symptoms I would be more worried?

Do you suffer from piles? It’s difficult to know because haemarrhoids bursting can cause severe stomach cramps as well as infection: stomach bug (and there’s so much around at the moment!)
Fresh blood is generally something close to the anus and if it was higher up it would be more likely to be darker in colour - black and tarry or a maroon colour. How are you feeling now?

No piles that I'm aware of. My stomach feels unsettled and crampy, I'm still having the odd bout of diarrhoea with blood too

Still passing blood/bloody mucus. I've been to the GP and don't have piles, I'm doing a stool sample and blood tests

This happened to my dad. It was polyps and a hemorrhoid they found.
