Flu vaccine - pain

Hi everyone.

I had my flu and whooping cough vaccine on Thursday. I've had no side effects except that my arm is so swollen and even hurts to touch. Extending it is even painful. I rolled onto it by accident last night and woke up in agony. Should I still be this painful two days on ?????

have You taken painkillers and been moving it ?

Unsureofitall · 03/12/2022 09:34

Only paracetamol as I'm pregnant and yes during the day I've been moving it but it's absolutely agony. It's swollen all the way down to my elbow.

Is it red and hot ?

KnickerlessParsons · 03/12/2022 09:35

It happens sometimes. It'll die down eventually. Take some paracetamol.

KangarooKenny · 03/12/2022 09:36

As it’s so swollen and painful, and you’re pregnant, I’d ring 111 for advice

Unsureofitall · 03/12/2022 09:38

No it's not red or hot just swollen. I'll call 111 a call and see what they advise

What did they say ?

Unsureofitall · 03/12/2022 15:50

I was told to keep an eye, and book a gp appointment on Monday if it's still bad. As it's not red or hot, they think it's just a reaction to the vaccine. If it gets any worse to call back or obviously call 999. More paracetamol and warm baths for me. Envy
