Can anyone recommend a probiotic a good one

Inulin powder. It's a prebiotic. Makes me a nicer, more bubbly person for some weird reason. It's chicory root. My nastiness must come from gut problems! Grin

brusselsprout5 · 01/12/2022 19:38

Oh & I don't catch anything at all if I take this!

@brusselsprout5 where do I get this?

OP posts:
Nancienoo · 01/12/2022 20:12

@ILoveAllRainbowsx i actually used to make kefir. I feel like I’ve been neglecting my gut health and eating lots of rubbish makes me feel slobbish

I recommend kefir too - I like Biotiful Original. I know it’s only anecdotal, and it could be coincidental, but I no longer suffer from hay fever since I started (well, after maybe two months).

What is the difference between prebiotic and probiotic 😵‍💫

OP posts:
brusselsprout5 · 01/12/2022 20:43

Yes it's just from Amazon. It's so strange how it works. I'm not sure the difference between probiotic & prebiotic but this really does work better than actimel, kefir etc for me anyhow.

My dentist recommended it to me as he must've detected my tongue health wasn't great. I think I'd just been eating rubbish for a few days beforehand! He said the added bonus was it made him a better person, chattier & nicer. I'd say the exact same. It's a strange one.

Nancienoo · 01/12/2022 20:51

@brusselsprout5 would you mind showing me the one you use? I need want you feeling haha

I can't seem to be able able to post a photo but it's Nature's Aid Inulin. £12.50 on Amazon. Lasts a good few months.

Nancienoo · 01/12/2022 21:46

Symprove. There was a recent article in New Scientist magazine comparing probiotics and this came out on top. Not cheap though but if you sign up, special offers are sent.

JustDanceAddict · 02/12/2022 17:48

I’m taking vsl#3 for approx a month and it’s def improved things. Awaiting a new batch as the postal strike has held it up.
like symprove it’s expensive (about £50 pcm).

Sickandtiredofbeingsick · 03/12/2022 00:00

I was recommended to try Lepicol. I’m currently taking Opticbac Extra but when it runs out I’m trying the Lepicol. It was recommended by an Osteopath, she said to take 4 tablets first thing in the morning and it would sort my gut problems out.
