Could cancer have spread?

My dad is being treated for lung cancer. All removed but having chemo to reduce recurrence. Chemo finished two weeks ago but now at night he’s been having ?seizures. My mum has witnessed them but he isn’t aware.. he just starts shaking for a bit and that’s it. Only happens at night but was four times last night. He came over at weekend and dozed off and my husband witnessed the same.. said he slumped with mouth open and shook and it looked ‘electrical’ like a current going through him. I work in a hospital and a Dr has told me he can come in today for bloods and a brain scan so I wonder if they suspect it’s spread. Does anyone have experience of this?

no other symptoms such as headache but very tired but could be chemo effects lasting

No idea and you are just going to have to wait for the results, but I wanted to say I’m so sorry you are all going through this, it must be so stressful and upsetting. Fingers crossed it’s just temporary, and that he makes good progress.

yes lung cancer can spread and often to the brain I am afraid. It's good he's being scanned immediately. I hope it's just a side effect but they're doing the right thing by seeing him

Does anyone have experience of this? I just wonder if seizures if that’s what they are would also be in the day?
I really hope it isn’t this because I imagine it’s a horrible way to go but at least we will find out sooner rather than later!

Hoping for good news. Chemo as far as I am aware can cause very random and delayed side effects.

Unfortunately lung cancer can spread and people often get brain mets. Hopefully you will get the results quickly.
Thinking of you all
