I hate being bunged up and not able to breathe, have been awake for ages feeling annoyed about it.

It’s blocked bcs I have COVID rather than allergies.

Recommend your nose unblocking solutions to me please so I can get some relief!

Sudofed blocked nose spray. Brilliant stuff

Dangle over a saucepan of hot water. I have chronic sinusitis and do that most mornings.
A neti pot for preventing sinusitis is good but even though I promise I'm going to do it more often I only do it when I really need to.
The decongestant pills (Wilko, Superdrug both do own brands with the same ingredients as Sudafed for a lot less £) are good, better than the spray IME which if you're not careful just dribbles down the back of your throat.
Olbas oil, a stick-up-nose stick thingy and menthol crystals in hot water (dangle over) all help.

Sudafed and Otrivine are brilliant but if you use them for longer than a few days - your blood vessels experience withdrawal and will swell up again so that even when you're no longer full of cold, you can't breathe out of your nose AT ALL unless your puffing on nose spray 6 times a day. Forever.

You're better off heading to the pharmacy and getting a steroid allergy nose spray that will reduce inflammation without that reaction and some OTC decongestant tablets.

Try putting your finger above your nose on the line between your eyebrows and tapping it repeatedly.
That unblocks my nose temporarily when I've got a stinking cold.

Wow, thanks for all the tips- will see if I can get someone to pop by the chemist and pick up some supplies.

Off to try tapping at my forehead now!

Hot shower, sprinkle a few drops of olbas oil every few minutes.

Sterimar congestion relief ("100% natural micro-diffused sea water") really helps, especially when I have a cold. 🌹
