Thyroid removed now have really heavy periods

Hi, has anyone else had their thyroid removed, and then their periods have been really heavy? Im just wondering if this is a normal reaction or not.

I haven't had my thyroid removed, but I do have hypothyroidism. I also had 3 years of ulincredibly heavy periods, apparently its linked so may be an obvious link with having had yours removed.
