White coated lips and burning - causing anxiety

Last week I noticed my lips had a white coating . But This wouldn’t scrape or anything . I thought maybe thrush as I’m suffering down below being pregnant , been using treatment a few days and don’t feel like it’s eased. They are tight , sore and burning and very rippled : worried it’s something serious now .

Seriously? They're chapped. I recommend Chapstick.

Try drinking plenty of fluids and using Vaseline?

I'd get some O'Keefes lip balm. It's brilliant and heals quickly. Keep hydrated too.

Does white lips indicate chappped ? I’m 33 and never suffered that’s all ! Chapped lips to me were like around your mouth pink and scaly , from licking lips etc ! I’m more puzzled as I’m pregnant and it’s just come on and I’m always using Vaseline , perhaps too much actually and I can’t shift the white ve red look . I didn’t realise this was how chapped lips presented that’s all

Cold weather, dehydration, heated housing and dry air all cause this. Vaseline at night and chapstick through the day.

Pregnancy seems to cause weird skin changes. I expect it’s a combination of dehydration, the cold weather and pregnancy.
Is this your first pregnancy? Make sure you’re drinking plenty as your body will need more whilst growing a baby.

Yep first pregnancy and although a silly query . I haven’t had chapped lips since I was a child and certainly never had a white coating which is what bothers me. It’s been a week now , when can I expect to see improvement
