Experiences on Depo Injection

i had the Depo injection in July this year and didn’t have it again as I didn’t like it. It wore off about mid October and ever since then I have had bleeding everyday for 5- 6weeks. It’s not a little blood either, it can come at any point in the day so I always wearing pad. I’m very spotty on my face aswell. Has anyone else experienced this and how long did it take for you to have a normal period?

When I stopped having the depo injection I went straight onto having a contraceptive pill so don’t remember any side effects but I remember a friend who stopped it after being on it for at least a few years and she’d bleed very randomly and regularly. I can’t remember how long it went on for but it did settle by itself. She stopped it to try to conceive and it took her a good 18 months to have regular periods, but that was after being on it for a while. I had similar issues with an oral contraceptive recently, I think they can really mess with our bodies 😣. I hope yours settles soon. If you’re concerned then speak to your dr because they may do blood tests to check for PCOS and your thyroid function etc. just to make sure it’s nothing else that’s causing it.
