Asthma attack whilst experiencing nighttime diarrhoea

i want to start off by saying I am absolutely NOT a poo troll. I have name changed because for obvious reasons this is very identifying with the few people who know about this. I am literally at my wits end as my doctor has no clue, Google doesn’t bring much up and I’m desperate for anyone that may have an answer.

Up until around 18months ago I had experienced an asthma attack maybe a few times in my life. Last year, I went to the toilet in the night with really bad diarrhoea and all of a sudden I couldn’t breathe and was in the midst of a full blown asthma attack. I put it down to a coincidence. This exact scenario has now happened maybe 10 times in the last 18months. It’s giving me such anxiety. The doctors have no clue and think it’s a coincidence but it isn’t. It happens the same way every single time. I will be on the toilet and I will feel like I’m starting to have a tight chest and then by the time I can physically get off the toilet I’m in full on attack.

Has anyone ever experienced this? Or heard of anyone that has experienced anything like this?

Cold air in the bathroom?

Hm that is strange. Whenever I have a panic attack I need to go poo. My daughter suggests with asthma and always seems to have diarrea after an attack. It probably is related but not worrisome tbh.
