Fitbit RHR has been increased for 6 weeks

My RHR usually ranges from 59-67. However over the past six weeks it has been mid 70s, sometimes 80. I did have a cough when the increase first started. Have noticed increases like this in the past when I've had a cold or flu but they've only lasted a few days. Anyone had this happen for so long? I feel fine. Wondering am I anaemic. Am breastfeeding 7 month old so maybe poor sleep could could be causing it too? Though my RHR was normal despite feeding throughout the night for months prior to this.

I noticed when I was 7 weeks pregnant that mine had been elevated for 7 weeks!

Might just be a coincidence on my part but something to consider!

deeperthanallroses · 26/11/2022 22:05

Another one saying could you be pregnant?

QueenLagertha · 26/11/2022 22:08

Definitely not! I noticed the increase during my most recent pregnancy. In fact it was the first sign that I was pregnant.

Mine increased when i had covid

OakTreex · 26/11/2022 22:16

Mine increased for a few days at the start of a respiratory virus.

PritiPatelsMaker · 26/11/2022 22:22

Mine increased recently doubled when I had a chest infection.

Usually it's one if the first signs that I'm poorly.

Mine increased w covid too. Maybe you have a virus.

QueenLagertha · 27/11/2022 11:15

I expect it to increase with a virus etc. it's the fact that it has been much higher for a full 6 weeks I'm concerned about

If you think that you may be aneamic, have you tried Spatone? It's much kinder on your digestive system than iron tablets.

Doing a 30 day yoga challenge might help as well as doing 10 minutes guided meditation when LO is napping.

randomsabreuse · 27/11/2022 16:04

Covid was the thing that really increased my RHR for a while afterwards. Other viruses had a less long lived effect for me.

QueenLagertha · 27/11/2022 16:20

Thanks @PritiPatelsMaker I've ordered some Betteryou iron spray to try. Have tried spatone before and found them good too

@randomsabreuse maybe It was covid I had!
Though I've had it twice before and would def have known I had it those times.
